What to Expect
Padang Padang Beach
Start your afternoon by visiting the beautiful Padang Padang Beach. Famous for its appearance in the movie "Eat Pray Love", this hidden cove is accessed via a unique hollow rock entrance. Once down on the shore, you are greeted by pristine white sand and world-class surfing waves, providing a perfect spot to relax before heading to the temple.
Uluwatu Temple Cliff Walk
Next, arrive at the majestic Uluwatu Temple. Perched 70 meters above the crashing Indian Ocean, this ancient sea temple protects the island from evil spirits. Take a scenic walk along the cliff edge pathway, admiring the panoramic ocean views and the temple's magnificent architecture. Be mindful of the resident macaques that playfully roam the area!
Kecak Fire Dance at Sunset
As the sun begins to set, take your seat in the open-air amphitheater for the world-renowned Kecak Fire Dance. The performance tells the epic tale of Ramayana without any musical instruments. Instead, a chorus of 50 bare-chested men provides a hypnotic "cak-cak-cak" chant. The climax features Hanoman, the monkey god, dancing through roaring flames against the backdrop of a fiery Bali sunset.
