Continue to Tirta Empul, one of Bali’s most sacred temple complexes, famous for its holy natural spring. The temple complex dates back to 962 AD, during the Warmadewa Dynasty. The sacred water is traditionally used for melukat, a Balinese purification ritual. Visitors can learn about the spiritual importance of holy water and Balinese Hindu traditions.

Besakih Temple – The Mother Temple

Next, visit magnificent Besakih Temple, located on the slopes of Mount Agung, Bali’s highest and most sacred mountain. Besakih is Bali’s largest temple complex and is often known as the “Mother Temple of Bali.” Its history stretches back many centuries, and the complex consists of numerous temples dedicated to different manifestations of Balinese Hinduism.

Kehen Temple

Continue to Kehen Temple, one of the most historically significant temples in Bangli. Kehen is famous for its impressive entrance, ancient stone carvings, sacred banyan tree, and distinctive multi-tiered meru shrine. Historical inscriptions indicate that the temple has been associated with the Bangli area for many centuries.
