What to Expect
Besakih Temple
Also known as the "Mother Temple of Bali," it is the largest and holiest Hindu temple complex on the island. Located on the slopes of Mount Agung, it is believed to have existed since the 8th–11th centuries. The complex consists of more than 80 temples and serves as the spiritual center for Balinese Hindus.
Tirta Gangga
A former royal water palace built in 1948 by the King of Karangasem. The name means "Holy Water of the Ganges," symbolizing purity. It is famous for its beautiful ponds, elegant fountains, gardens, and natural spring water which is still used for religious ceremonies.
Lempuyang Temple
One of Bali's oldest and most sacred temples, established before the 11th century. Famous for its iconic "Gate of Heaven," this temple offers spectacular and unforgettable views of Mount Agung, making it a perfect photographic and cultural experience.
