Teletubbies Hill (Bukit Teletubbies) offers a refreshing change of scenery from the dramatic coastal cliffs that Nusa Penida is famous for. Located inland, this unique landscape consists of a series of perfectly smooth, rounded green mounds that perfectly resemble the set of the famous children's television show.

"A surprisingly peaceful and lush inland escape that feels worlds away from the rugged cliffs of the coastline."

The Seasonal Beauty

The appearance of Teletubbies Hill changes dramatically with the seasons. During and immediately following the rainy season (roughly January to May), the hills are blanketed in thick, vibrant green grass, making them incredibly photogenic and true to their namesake.

During the dry season (August to November), the grass turns a golden brown. While different from the iconic green look, the golden landscape offers its own unique, rugged charm. It is a quiet, peaceful area where you can hike to the top of the mounds and enjoy panoramic views of the entire island.

What Makes It So Special?

Unique Topography

The perfectly rounded shape of the hills is highly unusual for the area and provides a completely different visual experience compared to the rest of the island.

Peaceful Atmosphere

Because it is located inland and requires a bit of a drive, it is generally much quieter and less crowded than the famous beaches.
