Tucked away in the lush tropical jungles of North Bali, the Banjar Hot Springs (Air Panas Banjar) provide a deeply relaxing and therapeutic retreat. Known for their sulfuric waters and stunning centuries-old Balinese architecture, these natural springs are a favorite among both locals and visitors seeking rejuvenation.

"Soak in the warm, healing waters pouring from the mouths of ancient stone Nagas, surrounded by an emerald jungle."

A Historic Healing Oasis

The springs date back hundreds of years and feature water that maintains a comforting temperature of around 37°C (98°F). The complex consists of three main pools. The water pours into these pools from the mouths of elaborately carved mythological dragon-like creatures known as 'Nagas'.

The water is heavily laden with brimstone and sulfur. While you will definitely notice the distinct sulfuric smell, this mineral content is exactly why the springs are so famous. The water is believed to cure various skin diseases, ease muscle aches, and provide immense relaxation after a long day of touring.

Wear Dark Swimwear

The high sulfur content in the water has a tendency to turn white or light-colored swimsuits yellowish. It's highly recommended to wear dark-colored swimwear.

Facilities Provided

There are simple changing rooms, lockers, and fresh-water showers on site. It's a good idea to bring your own towel and soap to wash off the sulfur after your soak.
